Job Title: Construction Project Manager

Construction Project Manager/Field Supervisor Summary:

Responsible for the successful management of construction work projects, from proposal to completion for decks, porches, additions and remodels.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret construction plans/drawings

  • Manage construction projects on site.

  • Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure a smooth work flow.

  • Add and update project information in CRM software

  • Submit requests for purchase orders

  • Develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with customers and subcontractors

  • Constantly promote and encourage adherence to company policies and best practices

Field Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of verifiable construction experience

  • Minimum 2 years managing your own projects

Language Skills

  • Ability to read, write and comprehend English

  • Ability to speak effectively before employees and clients

  • Bi-lingual English/Portugese preferred

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations

  • HIC or CSL construction licensing highly preferred

  • Valid driver license

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong customer service skills, with internal and external clients

  • Effective oral and written communication

  • Experience working the commercial property managers, vendors, consultants and architects a plus

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and perform well under deadlines

  • Organizational skills

  • Flexibility

This is a commission-only position. You’ll get leads from the company, meet customers, write up estimates and close deals. Then you’ll hand the project over to a project manager after the sale. You won’t be expected to manage projects or work in the field, but you will be expected to maintain a relationship with that customer to make sure they are happy and to farm for future leads and referrals Your focus will always be on creating quality leads and converting them into customers. More commissions will come from you generating your own leads and prospects. Minimal performers can expect to make $37,500 working about 15 hours a week, but you won’t last very long. Our best performers make upwards of $70k per year, working about 30 hours a week. 

 

Customer Sales Expectations

  • Meet with home-owners and property managers to sell a variety of services: Kitchens, Baths, Decks, Siding, Additions and Remodels.

  • Sell at margins that ensure plenty of room for the project manager to get the job done on time and under budget

  • Focus all your time on creating and growing our consumer market

  • Follow up on every lead and prospect

  • Create new leads

  • Learn and follow our proven sales process

  • Hit monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals

  • Use a smartphone or tablet for data entry and data tracking

  • Draft and submit contracts

  • Meet Project Managers and go over the job details with them.

  • Maintain a relationship with the customers throughout the build to ensure they are happy.

  • Farm existing customers for referrals
